Science Gallery Bengaluru presents CARBON #inthecity! Composed of an interactive pop up exhibition at metro stations, and immersive, free programmes every weekend, the exhibition explores our relationship with carbon in our bodies, our cities, and transit systems.
The curated programmes will nudge participants to look at carbon from various perspectives – as a pigment, an ingredient, a cultural presence, a measuring tool and more. See all details here.
Join artist Jane Tingley in a public talk as she unveils the fascinating world of a tree's inner life.
At CARBON, Tingley's exhibit includes eco-sensors attached to a tree in the gallery. These sensors gather data around the tree, tracking its interactions with the environment. The data is then transmitted to an interactive installation in the gallery.
Hear the artist share her inspiration for this work, and discover what went behind its creation. Curious about the technology used in these sensors? Wonder how this data can be used? Looking to interact with the exhibit yourself? Tingley will cover all this and more to explore the intricate connections between nature and technology!
