Infosys Prize 2022

On January 7, the Infosys Science Foundation (ISF), awarded six winners of the Infosys Prize for their outstanding contributions to science and research in six categories: Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences. The Chief Guest, Prof. Shafi Goldwasser, Director, Simons Institute, UC Berkeley and A.M. Turing Award Laureate (2012) felicitated the winners across these six categories. They were each awarded with a purse of 100,000 USD, a 22-karat gold medallion and a citation certificate from a distinguished jury.

ISF Brochure 2021

The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF), awarded the winners of the Infosys Prize 2021 today for their outstanding contributions to science and research in six fields - Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences. The work of the laureates this year addresses some of the greatest challenges of our time, studying the effects of climate change on fragile ecosystems and contributing to more effective conservation strategies, designing a robust indigenous platform for rapid testing of deadly diseases like COVID-19 and TB, understanding the nuclear force to better harness nuclear energy for the benefit of humankind, and addressing issues such as sexual violence and jurisprudence in our society. Winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Gagandeep Kang FRS, Professor at CMC Vellore, Infosys Prize laureate 2016, and one of India’s leading virologists.

ISF Brochure 2020

In its first ever virtual awards ceremony, the Infosys Science Foundation awarded the winners of the Infosys Prize 2020 on December 2nd, 2020, for their outstanding contributions to science and research. The prize consists of a pure gold medal, a citation and a purse of USD 100,000. The winners were announced by the eminent chairs of the jury and felicitated by the chief guest, Prof. S. R. Srinivasa Varadhan - Abel Prize winner and Professor, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York, USA.

INFOSYS PRIZE 2019

On January 7, 2020, the Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) awarded the winners of the Infosys Prize 2019 for their outstanding contributions to science and research at an awards ceremony held at the Taj West End, Bengaluru. The winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Amartya Sen, Nobel Laureate, Professor of Economics and Philosophy, Harvard University, USA, with a pure gold medal, a citation and a prize purse of USD 100,000. The event was attended by distinguished scientists and academicians from India and abroad, business leaders, young researchers and students. Trustees of the Infosys Science Foundation, Mr. S. D. Shibulal, President of the Board of Trustees, Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Mr. T. V. Mohandas Pai, Mr. S. Gopalakrishnan, Mr. K. Dinesh and Mr. Srinath Batni, were also present at the award ceremony.

INFOSYS PRIZE 2018

The Infosys Prize 2018 laureates were honored at a gala event on January 5 in Bengaluru. The winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Manjul Bhargava, Fields Medalist and R. Brandon Fradd Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University, with a pure gold medal, a citation and a prize purse of USD 100,000. The event was attended by renowned scientists and academicians from India and abroad, business leaders, young researchers and students.

On January 10, 2018, the Infosys Prize 2017 Presentation Ceremony was held at the Leela Palace, Bengaluru where the laureates were awarded for their exceptional contributions to science and research across six fields: Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences. The Chief Guest, Prof. Kip Thorne, Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics, Emeritus at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Nobel Prize 2017 Laureate, felicitated the winners across the six categories and awarded each laureate a purse of INR 65 lakhs, a 22-karat gold medallion and a citation certificate.
