Dr. Almouzni excels in fields of epigenetics, chromatin, development, cell-cycle, DNA damage and repair and replication. She was awarded a Fellowship from ENS (1980-1985), a Special ENS Doctoral fellowship (1985-1987), Fellowship from the Association of Cancer Research (1987-1988), Long term fellowship from EMBO for post-doctoral visit (1991-1993). She was Elected EMBO Member (2000), awarded the Silver Medal from the CNRS (2000), Prize from La Ligue contre le Cancer, Comité des Yvelines (2003), announced Member of the "Faculty of 1000 Biology" (2003), elected as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the EMBL Laboratory (2005-2010), awarded Special Scientific Prizes attributed by the Institut de France / Fondation "Cino et Simone del Duca" (2006) and Fondation " Louis D." (2011), elected as a member of Academia Europaea (2007), was bestowed the Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite (2007) and the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur (2011), and awarded FEBS/EMBO Prize Woman in Science (2013)
