Manindra Agrawal won the inaugural Infosys and NIAS Mathematics Prize in 2008. He is a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences, J.C. Bose for the period 2006 – 2015, Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Sciences. He is the recipient of several Indian and international awards including the Clay Research Award 2003, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award in Mathematical Sciences 2003, Fulkerson Prize 2006, the Gödel Prize 2006, TWAS Prize 2010, H K Firodia Award 2011, Humboldt Prize 2011, and Padma Shri 2013. His research interests lie in complexity theory, computational number theory, and he has a peripheral interest in cryptography, complex analysis, and combinatorics. He has published and presented over 40 papers on these topics in reputed journals.
