Prof. Kivelson is a theoretical physicist. His primary focus is on the theory of quantum liquid crystalline phases of highly correlated electronic fluids; intertwined orders and the theory of high temperature superconductivity; the theory of spin liquids and other fractionalized quantum phases; and the theory of the glass transition in super cooled liquids.
Prof. Kivelson is Editor-in-Chief of Nature Partner Journal Quantum Materials.
