Infosys Science Foundation, its subsidiaries, associates, and affiliated companies (collectively referred to as “ISF”, “us”, “we”) are committed to process your personal data as per the laws of your country or state, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. The purpose of this Privacy Consent (“Consent”) is to inform you of the categories of Personal Data we collect and the purposes for which we use such Personal Data.

Personal data elements collected:

Mandatory: First name, Last name, Email address, Name of Institution, City, Country, your IP Address including usage of online identifiers such as cookies on registration platform

Optional: Contact Number

Please do not disclose sensitive personal information on the event/contest platform.

Data Recipients / Accessible to:

We may disclose Personal Data to the following categories of recipients for the same purposes described below and where appropriate, we require that such parties maintain its confidentiality and maintain appropriate systems and processes to ensure its security and protection:

• Internal authorized employees of Infosys, including Infosys’ subsidiaries or affiliates, in internal functions such as Marketing, Sales.
• Infosys’ service providers and partners who manage the registration process and provide their platform(s), hosting, and e-mail services to Infosys
• Auditors, where applicable
• Infosys Science Foundation's data is hosted on Amazon Web Services ("AWS") servers in Mumbai, India.

Lawfulness of Processing:

We use or process your Personal Data with your Consent for the below purpose(s). Where we process Personal Data based on consent, your consent is revocable at any time.

• For inviting you to our events and contests

• For informing you about confirmed registration

Your Data Protection Rights:

Depending on the laws of the country where you reside, you have certain rights in respect of your personal data. For EU attendees, if you would like further information about your data protection rights or to submit a request to access, rectify or delete your Personal Data, as well as to object for legitimate purpose to the processing of your Personal Data. These rights may be exercised, by sending an email to privacy@infosys.com and ISF@infosys.com.

Right to Withdrawal:

Where we process your Personal Data based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent to the processing at any time for the future. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing operation before your withdrawal. To withdraw your consent, please write to us at privacy@infosys.com and ISF@infosys.com.

Secondary Purpose

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Consent, then we will provide you with a new Consent explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where and whenever necessary, we will seek your prior consent to the new processing, unless authorized by law.

Data Transfer:

• For EU/EEA, UK - The Personal Data listed above may be transferred to countries located outside of the EU/EEA, for which data protection legislation may differ from that of the EEA, i.e., our offices located in India and where applicable, our authorized service providers’ servers located globally. We shall take the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and security of the transferred data. We have implemented the following safeguards: Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c) GDPR), the copies can be obtained by writing to privacy@infosys.com

• For Non-EU/EEA - If necessary for the above stated purpose, the Personal Data listed above may be transferred to Infosys office located in India and where applicable, our authorized service providers’ servers. We shall take the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and security of the transferred data. Your personal data is transferred outside your jurisdiction based on Data Transfer Agreement/Consent/Specific Standard Contractual Clauses, etc. based on applicable DP Laws.

Data Security:

Infosys adopts reasonable and appropriate security practices and procedures including administrative, physical security, and technical controls to safeguard your Personal Data

Data Retention:

Personal Data will not be retained for a period more than necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Consent, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for directly related legitimate business purposes.

Depending on the laws of the countries where you reside, if you are unhappy with how we safeguard your personal data, you have the right to bring a complaint to your local data protection authority.
